Lemonslush, I dont mean to call you out on this but if you have more insight on the topic I am interested. A bit of background I have 4 sealed 12″ subs, 3 of the 4 are DIY “car subs” and one is a paradigm sub I started with the Paradigm, then had an old beater car sub sitting around from about 20 years ago wired it in with a cheeseball HTIB plate amp and was immediately impressed with the better room response but not with the output.
The cheeseball setup got replaced with an Alpine type R and plate amp, in fairness the Type R models well. A few years later I added a couple of kenwood subs that were on a blowout sale and something of an impulse buy, they model poorly and I was second guessing them until I hooked them up and got things dialed in. With a bit of setup they sound as good as the Paradigm and alpine and have respectable output.

There is a reason single point grounds are used in sensitive electronics to reduce this ground loop.
There are few things that can be done to address this. A way to possibly reduce the current flowing from usb ground to audio ground to add a impedence such as a ohm resistor on the audio ground line. This is akine to putting up a road block to prevent traffic from usb ground traveling to audio ground. Current will want to travel towards lowest charge gnd using the most open paths possible.
